About us

The idea to open a padel club was born at the beginning of 2025, somewhere along the A89 motorway in France. That’s where the two of us – Lucie and Oscar – realized that all padel courts in Prague were fully booked weeks in advance. So we decided to build our own. It sounded simple. The reality? Not so much.

The list of things we had to overcome, figure out, fix, or completely rethink is long. But at the end of that journey stands Padel Džus – a project straight from the heart.

How it was in a nutshell

The first challenge was finding the right space. Suitable venues in Prague are rare, so when we walked into a hall in Hostivař, we knew immediately: this is it.

The plan was clear – four courts, two containers for a small café and changing rooms, and we’re done.

Finding the right court supplier was another challenge. Thanks to a lot of persistence, we eventually partnered with the Spanish brand Jubo, who turned out to be a fantastic partner – professional, open, and reliable.

Around the same time, we teamed up with the Czech company Smart Modules, who built custom modular units for us. Today, they house our café, padel shop, changing rooms, and office.

Then came the hard part

Endless construction work, repairs, renovations, inspections, permits… it just kept going. At one point, we decided it would be great to bring someone else into the project – someone who would enjoy the ride with us.

That’s when Jakub joined.

Three of us now

We couldn’t have found a better match. From day one, it was clear that Jakub completed the puzzle. We complement each other perfectly, sometimes get on each other’s nerves, but there’s never a lack of fun. What connects us is a love for sport, a desire to create, and a shared dream of building a place we’d genuinely love to come back to ourselves.

Building the dream

It was a ride that lasted several months. Along the way, we took a few hits and ran into plenty of obstacles – but that’s all part of it. We tried to take it sportingly and learn from every setback.

With our own hands, we transformed an old industrial hall into a place with a soul. Every detail carries a piece of us – our time, energy, enthusiasm, and heart.

Why Padel Džus?

Padel may have its roots in Mexico, but it truly became famous in Spain – and that’s also where part of our team comes from. In Spain, there’s a saying that when you find your better half, your life partner, you’ve found your other half orange.

And since padel is played in pairs, the same applies on court. When you find the right padel partner, the chemistry and energy just click. And when you squeeze that energy to the very last drop, you get Padel Džus.

This is us

Oscar, Lucie, and Jakub. In just a few months, we turned an old, neglected hall into a place we’re truly proud of – a padel club.

Our goal is to build a friendly community of people – Džusers – brought together by sport, movement, and the joy of the game.

We want you to feel good here and to want to come back. Not just for the court, but also for the café, tournaments, club events, or simply to sit down, relax, and be part of what’s happening.
Our wish is for Padel Džus not to be just a place where you come to play – but a place where you genuinely enjoy spending your time.

Welcome to Padel Džus.

Padel runs in his Spanish blood. He is a co-founder of Padel Džus and a strategist with a head full of numbers, plans, and long-term visions.

He’s responsible for everything from spreadsheets to business models. But he’s far from being just an office type – padel has captivated him so deeply that he decided to turn his passion into a life project.

He invests not only personal savings and investor capital into the club, but above all his heart. When he’s not crunching numbers, he’s counting aces – on the court, pushing his own limits, while planning the next moves for Padel Džus’s growth.

His mission? To make padel in Prague the talk of the town – even more than Sunday brunch.

She moves through the online world like a fish in water. She’s in charge of everything related to the website, social media, photos, and videos.

And when she’s not working her magic with content, you’ll most likely find her behind the bar.

Thanks to her background in gastronomy, she knows exactly how a well-run operation should work. “Organized” could easily be her middle name.

Events, tournaments, club gatherings? If something’s happening at Padel Džus, chances are Lucie is behind it. She makes sure everything runs smoothly, people feel welcome, and that Padel Džus stays alive and buzzing beyond the court.

And her secret plan? One day, to beat the guys at padel – ideally without mercy.

A walking idea generator – whatever comes to his mind usually makes perfect sense and often comes with its own technical solution. Jakub is both the heart and the brain behind all things technical at the club.

When he’s not thinking about the next smart upgrade, he’s most likely winning another match on court. After just one hour of padel, he was already giving tips – so it’s only a matter of time before he starts giving lessons too. Coaching license? Almost in the bag. Luck seems to be on his side – just like his unstoppable enthusiasm.

And what’s the best thing about him? Besides his skills, he never ruins the fun. He’s the one who connects everything – wires, people, and ideas.
